PD4590 50A Power Center with 90A Converter/Charger for RVs
Description
The PD4590 50 Amp Power Center is a comprehensive solution for the electrical management of a recreational vehicle. Designed for installations requiring reliable AC and DC power distribution, it integrates a 90 Amp converter/charger, ideal for powering RV circuits while effectively recharging the battery.
Its AC distribution panel is rated at 240 VAC / 50 A and can accommodate up to 12 branch circuit breakers. The system also includes a central power feed 50 A double main breaker. Thanks to its integrated wiring connectors with push-and-lock system, installation is quicker, cleaner, and safer.
The DC section features 18 branch fuse locations, each capable of supporting up to 20 amps. The first two locations are recommended for low-draw devices, such as smoke or carbon monoxide detectors. Optional LED indicators can also help quickly identify a blown fuse.
The converter/charger is accessible from the front, making maintenance and inspection easier. The PD4590 also provides several important protections, including battery reverse polarity protection, electronic current limiting, low voltage, high voltage and overheating protection, as well as an intelligent cooling fan.
Thanks to patented Charge Wizard technology, this power center can recharge an RV battery to approximately 90% in 2 to 3 hours. The system automatically selects the appropriate charging mode from four modes: Boost, Normal, Storage, and Desulfation, to optimize charging performance and help extend battery life.
Its lightweight polymer casing, resistant to impacts and high temperatures, allows for vertical or horizontal installation depending on the RV configuration. With its spacious front-accessible wiring compartment and pressure-release door, the PD4590 is a practical, robust, and high-performing choice for recreational vehicle electrical systems.
