Description
The Hydrastar HYD29ZR adapter module is designed to resolve compatibility issues between an electric-over-hydraulic Hydrastar brake actuator and the factory-integrated brake controllers of GM vehicles from 2024 to 2026.
This adapter helps prevent error messages, alerts, and brake faults that can arise when certain newer GM trucks are paired with an EOH braking system. It allows the Hydrastar system to communicate properly with the vehicle's brake controller, ensuring reliable operation while towing.
The module installs directly in line on the blue wire of the brake controller. Its identified connections simplify installation by clearly indicating which side connects to the towing vehicle and which side connects to the trailer, thereby reducing the risk of wiring errors.
Once installed, the module does not affect the use of the trailer with other vehicles. It only activates when necessary to ensure compatibility with the compatible factory GM brake controllers.
